The C. Buddingh’ Prize has long celebrated the best Dutch-language poetry debuts, highlighting the country’s most promising literary voices. Since 1988, Poetry International has awarded this prize to emerging talent, many of whom have gone on to shape the landscape of contemporary poetry. Past winners include now-celebrated poets like Lieke Marsman, Radna Fabias, Lucas Rijneveld, and Maarten van der Graaff.Curious about today’s rising stars? Buddingh’ Talent puts the spotlight on the four nominees for the 2026 C. Buddingh’ Prize. Director Yahmani Blackman will welcome the poets onstage, in a unique setting that will let them shine even brighter. Hosted by Francis Broekhuijsen.
