In this programme, we dive into the poetic power of rap and explore how hip hop contributes to conversations around intersectional feminism. Led by hip hop researcher Kim Dankoor, MA (Utrecht University / Leiden University), we will engage in conversation with rappers and poets about the language shaping today’s rap scene. How do they view the development of rap and poetry? And where do rap, poetry, and feminism intersect? Kim Dankoor will share how the street adds an extra dimension to feminism.
