Andrew Carr is a London-based architect who combines practice, teaching, and research. He is the founding director of Tempo and a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Westminster. Prior to this, he worked for more than twenty years at Brady Mallalieu Architects. In his writing, he often focuses on time and temporality in architecture, including through interpretations of the work of contemporary architects such as Niall McLaughlin, and through a study of the “momentary” architecture in the work of Virginia Woolf.
