How does poetry emerge from space? How can a poem reveal knowledge about a space? To explore these questions, the editors of the book Poetics of Place enter into conversation with the poets and architects of and around the Writingplace editorial team, a joint journal initiative of the Faculty of Architecture at Delft University of Technology that explores the interplay between architecture, literature and spatial imagination.
Featured guests are Klaske Havik, Vincent A. Cellucci, Angeliki Sioli and Jeremy Allan Hawkins. They will be joined in conversation by Erik Lindner, Eline van Leeuwen and Andrew Carr. Topics include architecture in the work of Seamus Heaney, psychiatric hospitals, perception, and suggestive descriptions of space.
