Erik Lindner (NLD)

Erik Lindner (The Hague, NLD) is a poet and freelance writer. His work explores themes of memory, human fragility, longing, and the passage of time, often blending personal experience with reflection on broader social and existential questions. Lindner’s language is precise and evocative.  He made his literary debut in 1996 and has published seven poetry collections, most recently Hout (‘Wood’, 2024), as well as two novels.

  • His poetry has been translated into multiple languages, including the German collection Nach Akedia (2013) and the English selection Words are the Worst (2021), which was nominated for the Derek Walcott Prize for Poetry.
